Broken Halo Dog Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill, dog rescue organisation. We rescue dogs from shelters that are at risk of being euthanised as well as abandoned, stray, abused and surrendered dogs. It is our belief that every dog can thrive in a happy, loving home and that every dog deserves a happy, loving home.
We work with shelters, behaviourists, fosters, and people like you all over the country to ensure the safety and happiness of our dogs and the people they are placed with. We rescue, rehabilitate and match dogs into their perfect forever homes, but it doesn’t end there. We offer full, lifetime support 24/7 and work with you and our canine behaviourist to ensure the happy ever after that everyone deserves.
Started in Oct/Nov 2015 Kristy Williamson offered to help broken and abused souls, owner surrendered animals and pound dogs at risk of death due to being unclaimed strays. Kristy is passionate about animals, When she lived in South Africa she volunteered at an animal shelter at 10 years old. It has been a lifelong dream and passion for Kristy and is her mission to help animals in need.
Kristy started Broken Halo Rescue as a small foster based rescue based in Suffolk with a handful of foster volunteers and then over time Kristy was able to secure emergency boarding kennels which costs the rescue but keeps the dogs safe, and that is what matters!
From there, the Broken Halo Rescue foster base has reached across the whole of the UK, Greece, Spain and Romania and also has veterinary nurses and a behaviourist offering a hand whenever the rescue needs.
Kristy’s main focus is to continue to grow the rescue and keep helping animals in need.
